Hockey will start on May 6, 2022 (week one, term two) and endi on August 26, 2022.
There will be no games on June 24 (Matariki) and July 15 and 22 (school holidays).
We will enter teams, representing Hautapu Sports Club, into the Waikato Hockey Association Intermediate Competition (Year 7/8).
Where we play
Games are played on Friday afternoons and evenings at various locations around Hamilton, as listed below.
All players, both boys and girls, from Year 7 and 8 are eligible to play. Teams play half field, 6 a side games.
Intermediate Hockey playing venues:
- Gallagher Hockey Centre, Innes Common, Hamilton
- Schick Community Hockey Centre at HBHS
- St Peter’s Cambridge
- St Paul’s Collegiate
- Fraser High School
- Waikato Diocesan
- Matamata College

If your child wishes to play for Hautapu Sports this year please complete and submit this Google form >>>>
A separate form will be required for each child. This form needs to be submitted by March 28, 2022 to enable time to formulate teams and register with Waikato Hockey Association.
Fees are $140 per player. You will be invoiced via email for this.
All players will need shinpads, a mouthguard, hockey stick, sneakers and Hautapu Sports Club socks.
How you can help
We require volunteers who are interested in coaching, managing or umpiring teams.
Without these important people, teams cannot operate. If you, or anyone you know is interested in supporting our teams in this way please indicate this, with your contact details, on the form.
Hautapu Sports Club fully supports and provides training for our coaches, managers and umpires. Teams that do not have a coach and/or manager and/or umpire may not be registered and therefore be unable to play this season.
Currently, pursuant to Hockey New Zealand, Waikato Hockey and venue rules, all coaches, managers, umpires players, and spectators that are over 12 years and 3 months old must hold a current vaccine pass. We are awaiting confirmation that players will not be required to hold a current vaccine pass.
