Why we’ve set up the Hautapu Whaanau Support Fund

posted in: Juniors, Netball, News, Rugby

Cancer affects too many New Zealanders and the Hautapu Sports community has not been spared.

In 2021, our club established the Hautapu Whaanau Support Fund to provide financial support to members of our club community or for their loved ones in the event they are affected by a serious health issue.

If we can ease the financial burden for the next family who has to fight, it will be worth it.

Stewards of the support fund are Paul Galletta, Sheryn Hobbs and Kevin Burgess.

They will help the club’s Operations Manager set guidelines and protocols for the fund, and they will be the point of contact for those who need help.

How you can help

Our club will hold fundraising activities, such as the Hautapu Charity Match, to create and maintain the fund.

The organising committee welcomes the donation of any items, products or services that we can include in auctions to raise money – if you can help, please contact Paul Galletta (mob: 021 1912496) or email admin@hautapusports.com.

Working together

The club is proud to have the Cancer Society logo on our 2021 rugby playing shorts.

We stand together. We stand with you. We stand up to cancer.
