High-scoring games were a feature of Hautapu Sports’ senior rugby teams’ matches on ANZAC Day.
The Premier A team beat Melville 90-10 at Memorial Park, with David Morris celebrating his 150th game for Hautapu Sports with a hat-trick of tries and a conversion.
The Development squad beat Melville 49-31 with Ihaka Harper-Dent scoring three tries, and Callum Beckett converting all his side’s seven tries.
The Hautapu Sports U-21s beat Waipa rivals Leamington 67-0, touching down 11 times.
The Hautapu Sports women’s team lost 27-24 at Otorohanga in a closely-fought game.
Kaesha Nairn was Hautapu’s Player of the Day.
