Hautapu Sports Club’s youngest members have till April 15 to order club-branded kit for the season ahead.
“The kids will look amazing,” says committee member Tim Morris.
“It’s very good quality and the children will want to wear it next summer as well,” he says.
The club has contracted from Dynasty Sports the manufacture of a wide range of apparel for its main online shop but also shorts and socks designed especially for junior rugby, netball and hockey players.
“Our initial order is for about 500 sets and we expect to have about 900 registered juniors this year … so it’s very much a case of ‘first-in-best-dressed’.”
Players in Hautapu teams will be issued with team shirts for competition but families are encouraged to also buy other club-branded items which range from beanies and polo shirts (main shop), as well as junior shorts and socks.
‘The quality is outstanding’
The club will close its pre-order offer on April 15 so Morris encourages families to buy the shorts and socks online as soon as possible.
“The quality (of the apparel) is outstanding,” he says.
“The rugby jerseys in our main shop are reversible, for instance, and are made to the highest standards.”
Morris also says the club has been able to offer apparel at good prices too because of their ability to buy in bulk.
“My advice is ‘don’t put it off — do it now!'”
