Do you want the opportunity to learn new skills, keep health and help young children enjoy team sport?

Here’s your chance!

Hautapu Sports Club are looking for coaches for some of our junior touch teams who’ll play in our Term 4 module, running from Friday October 18, 2024, till Friday December 6, 2024.

If you are new to coaching, or want to brush up on your skills, Nga Wai Rau Touch provide a set of clinics for beginners and those in the early stages of their coaching journey,

Three two-hour clinics will be held in the Waikato in October, to provide a Touch NZ Foundation Coaching (Level 1) ‘practical’ course.

The course targets coaches looking to develop their coaching skills to the level of junior and secondary school representatives and adult social and competitive grades.

The workshop will utilise practical delivery, group discussion, and scenario-based tasks to develop further confidence and knowledge in Touch coaching environments.

Most provinces in New Zealand expect junior provincial coaches to have the Foundation Coaching Certificate as a minimum standard.

A pre-requisite is to complete the Touch NZ Foundation’s ‘online’ course.
