VALE: Hautapu Sports remembers Rob Feisst and Paul Fife

Hautapu Sports Club wishes to send condolences to the friends and families of two supporters who have recently died.

Robert (Rob) Feisst, a former player, coach and administrator at the club, died at Waikato Hospital on May 21, 2024, aged 79.

On the same day, Paul Fife, a keen supporter of Hautapu rugby teams, died peacefully at home, aged 67.

An obituary published by the Waikato Times says:

Dearly loved husband of Val. Cherished father and father-in-law to Sonya, Julie & Graham, Fiona & Scott, Andrew & Jen, and Poppa to his 8 grandchildren.

‘Special thanks to St John and the Renal Unit of Waikato Hospital for the love and care shown to Rob’

A celebration of Rob’s life will be held at the Cambridge Town Hall, Victoria Street, Cambridge, on Tuesday, 28th May 2024 at 1.00pm, followed by a private cremation. Paul Gerrard ‘Fifey’ Fife

Paul Fife will be remembered as a keen supporter of Hautapu Sports, especially when he was able to follow son Kent when he was a member of the club’s Breweries Shield-winning side.

Passed away peacefully at home on 21st May 2024, with his family at his side, age 67 years. Loved husband of Lynley. Cherished dad of Angela & Joe, Melissa & Mark, Kent & Olivia. Adored Gargy of Savanna, Rory, Mila, Rohnan, Luka, Greta and Caspian. Awesome brother and friend to many.

A celebration of his life will be held at 1230 Kaipaki Rd, Cambridge, Monday, 27th May 2024, at 11.00am, followed by the burial at The Leamington Public Cemetery.
