Hautapu Sports have finished runners-up in the Premiership grade at the 2023 Waikato Club Sevens.
The side beat Hamilton Marist 17-12 in the semi-finals at Memorial Park, but were beaten 29-17 in the final by Hamilton Old Boys.
The competition was for Waikato clubs only, and split into grades for men’s and women’s open, colts U-21 and U-85kgs.

Hautapu’s performance at the November 4 Waikato Club Sevens means the squad have earned successive second placings at sevens tournaments.
