With only one game left — a grand final, no less — Hautapu Sports’ Colts have enjoyed an outstanding season with 14 wins from their 16 games.
Having finished second on the Waikato Colts first-phase table, the side beat Morrinsville 41-20 in their semi-final to qualify for Saturday’s final of the Elliot Shield against Hamilton Marist.
In beating Morrinsville, the Colts passed the 500 points milestone for their season.
