Photo gallery: Waikato Premier sides shaded by rivals while Colts continue to win

Hautapu Sports lost narrowly to leaders Hamilton Marist in their latest Waikato Premier Rugby A match but retain second place in the competition. 

After leading 17-12 at half-time, Marist fought back to take a 25-22 win at Memorial Park.

In the early game, Hautapu’s Waikato Premier B side lost 45-19 to Marist.

Meanwhile, Hautapu Colts extended their 100% winning start to the season with a 38-15 win against Eastern Suburbs, and are one of three clubs to remain unbeaten so far this season.

Club Day

Hautapu Sports Club celebrated its annual Club Day on May 13, and supported two charities close to the club’s heart.

The club supported Leukaemia & Blood Cancer NZ and Reel Recovery NZ, to raise awareness and money to help both charities continue their much-needed work.
