Hautapu share honours, reaching Bowl final at Waikato club sevens tournament

Hautapu Sports shared the honours with Hamilton Old Boys when they reached the Bowl Final at the Waikato Club Sevens tournament.

Playing in hot sun at Hamilton Marist’s grounds, Hautapu won two and lost two of their pool games.

This qualified them for the Bowl section of the afternoon’s knockout phase, and Hautapu won their semi-final against SURF 31-5.

The other Bowl semi-final was won by HOB, and the two clubs decided to not play the final but to consider it drawn.

10am: v Te Awamutu (Hautapu won 24-12)

11am: v University (Hautapu won 24-19)

12pm: Melville Development (Hautapu lost 14-21)

1pm: Hamilton Old Boys (Hautapu lost 12-19)
