Hundreds of Cambridge children will benefit from a partnership between Hautapu Sports Club and the YMCA to deliver school holiday sports programmes.
The programmes will provide opportunities for children to enjoy rugby, netball and hockey at Hautapu Sports’ facilities during school holidays, starting in October 2022.
Hautapu Sports Club president Dave Simes says the club believes the programmes are an excellent way to share its facilities with the community, and provide the chance for children to enjoy sport all year round.
“While we expect our members’ families will make use of the programmes, they are also open to children who have not yet joined our club but who want to take part in activities that are fun as well as introducing them to different sports,” he says.
The holiday programmes are supervised by trained staff, and the YMCA are already looking to recruit suitable applicants from our community.
