The young Hautapu Sports Colts squad will look to next season and draw on the experience of reaching this year’s Waikato Rugby U-21 grand final.
The Colts lost the final 17-29 to Hamilton Marist who took the Elliot Shield for the 22nd time in their history.
But the Hautapu side were in the game throughout and put up a brave effort.
With so many of the squad young enough to play in next year’s Colts competition, the side can look forward with optimism to 2023.
