Hautapu Sports plan to host a girls’ rippa rugby module for the first time in 2026, providing opportunities for years 3-7.
The programme is set to run in terms 2 and 3, 2026.
To gauge interest, the club seeks expressions of interest by Sunday December 14, 2025, using the following online form:
No fee is payable when completing the form; the information gathered will help the club plan the programme and provide the best possible experience for players.
Players who complete the form will be automatically registered when registrations open in Term 1, 2026.
The registration process is then completed when the season fee is paid. The programme fees will be in line with the 2026 junior rugby fees and will cover the cost of the end-of-season tournament.
Years 1 and 2 will continue to play mixed rippa on Friday nights.
The girls-only programme for Years 3-7 will be held on Thursday evenings (subject to change if field availability requires).
Play will start at 4pm and end at 5pm.
The evening programme will incorporate a 30-minute skills session, followed by a 30-minute game.
The season will end with a girls-only rippa tournament hosted at Swarbrick Park, Hamilton, in August.
