Memorial Park provides an excellent alternative venue as it is fully fenced, has only two gateways and have public toilets.
Hautapu Sports committee member Vic Clarke told Cambridge News the market had not operated since late last year because it was impossible to check vaccine passes.
However, relocating to Memorial Park would make it easier to control with one-metre distancing and the wearing of face masks.
The market is held on the second Sunday each month, from 9am till 1pm.
The first to be held at Memorial Park is planned for Sunday March 13.
Stallholders travel from around the upper North Island to sell all manner of goods and produce.
