Hautapu Sports’ Premier A rugby side got the best possible start to their latest match at Memorial Park — a loud and enthusiastic welcome to the pitch, provided by the club’s youngest members.
Junior members of the club performed a parade around the pitch between the Premier B and Premier A matches and then formed a tunnel for the players to make their entrance to the pitch for the main game against Otorohanga.
The weather may have been less than kind — but the enthusiasm of youngsters made up for it.
And both of Hautapu’s senior teams won their matches!
