If you want to watch some of our promising young hockey players in action, there’s a great opportunity this Friday evening (June 17) when four intermediate teams all have home fixtures.
They’ll be playing under floodlights at St Peter’s, Cambridge, on the hockey turf.
With no Mini hockey on, its a fantastic opportunity to come and support the Hautapu Sports Club’s Intermediate hockey superstars.
Director of Hockey Marie Dale says its unusual to have so many intermediate teams playing at ‘home’ and she is excited to be able to watch the club’s year 7 and 8 players in action.
“I encourage supporters to come along and to encourage our superstars — you’ll see some entertaining play and lots of enjoyment of the game.”
Hautapu Sports Dynamite take on Peachgrove Social at 5.30 pm. At the same time, Hautapu Sports Chiefs play Hautapu Sports Warriors. These teams play six a side with no goalie.
Hautapu Sports Waikato are one of our teams playing 7-a-side with a goalie and they have a Battle of the Bridge game, going up against Leamington Slick Sticks at 7.30 pm.
