When and where
Hautapu Sports will host the Touch NZ Foundation coaching course at the clubrooms, 4 Laurent Rd, Cambridge, on Thursday October 9, 2025, at 7.30pm.
The same course will also be held at various Waikato venues during October, including Te Awamutu, Hamilton, Whaingaroa, Morrinsville, Ngaruawahia and Matamata.
About the course
A prerequisite for attending the Level One course is completing an online course, which can be done by following this link >>>>
Having completed the online course, the Touch NZ Foundation Coaching (Level One) ‘Practical’ course targets coaches looking to develop their skills to the level of junior and secondary school representatives and adult social and competitive grades.
The 2.5-hour workshop will utilise practical delivery, group discussion, and scenario-based tasks to develop confidence and knowledge in touch coaching environments.
Most provinces in New Zealand expect junior provincial coaches to have the Foundation Coaching Certificate as a minimum standard.
