Five Hautapu Sports players will be in Waikato’s forward pack for Sunday’s Ranfurly defence against Southland.
The Waikato squad named for the match at Hamilton’s FMG Stadium includes Hautapu forwards Ollie Norris, Hamilton Burr, Dylan Eti, Senita Luaki and Luke Jacobson.
A sixth Hautapu player, Rui Farrant, has been named among the impact players.
The match starts at 4.35pm.
Waikato claimed the Ranfurly Shield last weekend, beating holders Taranaki 23-22 in New Plymouth.
Hautapu’s Dylan Eti was among the try scorers for Waikato.
