Hautapu’s Luke Jacobson named in All Blacks squad for three-match series

Hautapu Sports’ Luke Jacobson has been selected for the All Blacks squad to play in the 2024 Steinlager Ultra Low Carb Series.

The squad will play two Tests against England in Dunedin and Auckland, and one against Fiji in San Diego.

Cambridge-born loose forward Jacobson (27) has 18 New Zealand caps, and is a former national U-20 captain.

He was named captain of the Chiefs for the 2024 Super Pacific Rugby season.

Scott Barrett has been named the new captain of the All Blacks squad selected by All Blacks head coach Scott Robertson and his four assistant coaches, Scott Hansen, Jason Holland, Leon MacDonald and Jason Ryan.

Ardie Savea and Jordie Barrett will be vice captains.

Five uncapped players are in the squad — hooker George Bell, prop Pasilio Tosi, halfback Cortez Ratima, centre Billy Proctor and loose forward Wallace Sititi, who at 21 is the youngest player in the squad.
