Nicholas Jeffcoat hooker will play his 50th game for Hautapu Sports’ Premier side during Saturday’s Waikato Rugby fixture at Morrinsville.
Jeffcoat joined Hautapu Sports from Hamilton Boys High School at the end of 2018, playing for the club’s development side before making his Waikato Premier debut in 2019.
Despite being an avid Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs fan, he was still able to make a big impression on the club from the beginning.
He’s the perfect example of how to lead by example for newer players.
Every time he plays for Hautapu Sports, whether it is starting and playing 80 minutes for the Premier A side, or helping our the Development squad when needed, he always gives 100%.
Nicholas (Nic) Jeffcoat acquired the nickname Colsy a few years ago because he plays like legendary All Black Dane Coles.
The best way to describe Jeffcoat’s on-the-field style is that he’s fast, has good footwork, but is built like a hooker.
As with any great hooker, he often pops up on the wing showing his finishing skills in the corner.
When he’s not scoring in the corner, he’s using the more traditional hooker method to score tries from the back of a rolling maul.
