ROUND-UP: Premier A and women’s teams remain unbeaten in latest rugby

Hautapu Sports’ Premier A men’s team and Women’s Championship side have continued their unbeaten starts to the Waikato rugby season.

Defending champions Hautapu beat University of Waikato 31-27 in a torrid tussle at Memorial Park to remain one of three clubs unbeaten after three rounds of competition.

Hautapu travelled to Hauraki Diamonds for a 17-5 win in the Waikato Women’s Championship, setting up a top-of-the-table match next weekend against Putaruru.

Hautapu Colts had a comfortable win, beating bottom-placed side Fraser Tech 40-5.

In the Premier B competition, Hautapu’s Development side lost 38-14 to the University of Waikato.
