Meet Hautapu Sports’ new premier coach Leigh Ashton at senior netball muster

Netballers are invited to meet Hautapu Sports’ new premier team coach, Leigh Ashton, at the club’s netball muster on Wednesday February 21.

Leigh Ashton and her family moved to Cambridge in 2023, from West Auckland where she represented Auckland-Waitakere in all age-group teams and through to NPC and the Auckland Diamonds (franchise pre- Northern Mystics).

Her current job is Relationship Manager for Netball Waikato Bay of Plenty.

Previous work roles include:

  • Community Lead at Netball South.
  • Development Manager at Auckland Netball.
  • Academy Coordinator at Rangitoto College.
  • Athlete Development Manager at the Millennium Institute of Sport and Health.

She wrote the book The Talent Trap in 2019, and was a mindset coach 2019-2021. She has been a consultant, facilitator, speaker, and volunteer.

Time: 6pm-8pm

Venue: Hautapu Sports clubrooms

Players of all skill levels are welcome, including new members and players.

Our bar will be open, providing the opportunity for attendees to mix and mingle as well as learn about the netball season ahead.
