Hautapu Sports’ Senita Lauaki has become the club’s latest player to represent New Zealand at rugby, playing at the McDonalds Fiji Coral Coast 7s in Sigatoka.

Lauaki is a member of the New Zealand Development squad, who have been playing in the same pool as Ambassadors All Stars, Devo Babas and Ravuka at the three day tournament, from January 18-20, 2024.

It’s New Zealand’s first time at the Fiji tournament.

In the first day’s play, New Zealand beat Ambassador All Stars 24-12 and then accounted for Ravuka 17-15, with Lauaki one of New Zealand’s three try scorers.

New Zealand lost their final pool game on Friday, beaten 28-19 by Devo Babas.

Lauaki and his teammates face a quarter-final against Dominion Brothers.
