Junior netballers recognised at Cambridge Netball Centre’s prizegiving

Hautapu Sports’ junior netball teams have been recognised for their achievements on and off the court at this year’s end-of-season prizegiving.

The awards were made at the Cambridge Netball Centre after their final round of play on Saturday August 26, 2023.

Fairplay Awards

Year 5: Winners — Hautapu Kokako
Year 5: Runners-up — Hautpau Whio
Year 7: Runners-up — Hautapu Moana
Year 8: Winners — Hautapu Omaka
Year 8:  Runners-up — Hautapu Rere

Future Ferns Cup

Promotion/relegation winners — moving to Year 7/Year 8 grade and placing fifth overall
Year 7: Hautapu Marama

Highest Goal Difference Year 7/8 Shield

Year 8: Hautapu Tangaroa (with 165 goals for).

Year 7/8 Finals

Year 7/8B: Runners-up — Hautapu Rere

Meanwhile, it was also Finals Day for Hautapu’s teams competing in the Hamilton City Centre netball season, a successful season for the club in its first-ever representation of these grades in the Hamilton competition;

Finishing 13th/18th overall in the Year 8A section

Hautapu Year 7A

Year 7A: Pool A 3rd-equal
Finishing 3rd-equal/12th overall in the Year 7A section
