Hautapu Sports will host two short courses in early May to teach safe techniques for young rugby players, especially those playing tackle rugby for the first time.

The courses are:

Tackle Clinic

Who: This clinic is for junior rugby coaches and players in Grade 8 (who are new to tackle) and Grade 9 (who have just joined our club and are first time tackling)

Why: We want to teach safe technique in a safe environment to grow the confidence of players, and their parents/carers.

When: Saturday May 6, 2023 (9am-10am)

Where: Memorial Park, Cambridge

Registrations are not necessary for the Tackle Clinic — just turn up at 9am.

Small Blacks

Who: This session is compulsory for all junior coaches this season, and is repeated annually.

Why: To ensure our smallest rugby players are safe all season round.

When: Monday May 8, 2023 (6.30pm-8pm).
