This year’s draw revealed for WRU Premier Rugby and Development comps

The draw is now available for the 2023 Waikato Rugby Union’s competitions in which Hautapu Sports’ Premier and Development sides will compete.

The season starts on Saturday April 1 when both Hautapu sides will travel to Otorohanga.

The draw has been made so the Premier and Development teams play their counterparts at the same ground, with the Development teams playing first (1pm) followed by the Premier game (2.45pm).

The draw has ensured that clubs who played five games at home last season get four at home in 2023; conversely, those who hosted four games will get five fixtures on home turf next year.

Another feature of the draw is that there’ll be no repeat match-ups from this year — so whoever Hautapu hosted at home in 2022 will be an away trip next time round.

And with this schedule no teams play more than matches in a row at home or away.
