Urgent: Your chance to be part of the action at January’s NZ Sevens

Organisers of the NZ Sevens are calling for volunteers to help stage the tournament at FMG Stadium Waikato — but you need to act fast!

Applications for volunteers — including ball persons and ball person team leaders — close on Monday October 31.

The tournament will take place over the weekend of January 21-22.

Volunteer roles available

  • Rugby operations: Accreditation Assistant, Ball Persons, Ball Persons Team Leaders, Try Spotters, Try Spotters Team Leader, Pitch Marshalls, Operations Runners, Operations Team Leader, Warm-Up Monitors, Logistics Team Leader, Logistics Assistant – Match Days, Logistics Assistant – Pack-In and Pack-Out*
  • Team services: Tournament Driver*, Match Day Driver
  • Commercial: Commercial Inventory Analyser
  • Media operations: Media Assistant
  • Volunteers: Volunteers Team Leader, Spectator Services Crew
  • Events: Sports Presentation Assistant, VIP Hosting Assistant

In addition to the tournament match days (approx. 7am-10pm)*, you will need to be available for an orientation session on Saturday January 14 (10am – 12pm) at FMG Stadium Waikato.

Volunteer benefits

As a volunteer you will not be paid for your time but will receive the following benefits:

  • A uniform
  • Two (2) complimentary 2-day tickets for the tournament
  • Lunch, dinner, snacks and water on the 2 tournament match days**
