Hautapu Sports are through to the semi-finals of the Waikato Premier Rugby A competition after a 32–3 win against Te Awamutu at Memorial Park.
Hautapu went into the Battle of Waipa match knowing a loss would end their season.
Instead, victory in the quarter-final means Hautapu travel to Hamilton Old Boys next Saturday (July 9) for a shot at reaching the grand final.
Meanwhile, Hautapu’s Colts began their second round of competition with a 30-24 win against Fraser Tech.
