TOUCH
SENIOR TOUCH | JUNIOR TOUCH | HIGHSCHOOL TOUCH
Term 1 competition will start on Friday 13 February 2026, and end on Friday 20 March, 2026.
- To play, senior teams need to register by Friday 30 January, 2026 with full payment received prior to the first game.
- Registrations for juniors close on Friday 30 January, 2026, and children will then be allocated to a team.
- Games will be played at Memorial Park, Taylor St, Cambridge.
Senior module
Registration cost per team is $225
- Two female players need to be on the field at all times.
- Teams play one game per night; with the first round starting at 6pm, second round at 6.45pm and the third at 7.30pm.
- Referees will be provided.
- Draws will be circulated once registrations close.
Junior module
Hautapu Sports Club will run the Junior Touch Module for years 3-8, with three grades (years 3 & 4, years 5 & 6 and years 7 & 8).
The club is affiliated with Waikato Touch and Touch NZ. By playing in an affiliated module, players are eligible to trial for Waikato reps.
Fees are $45 per player for the Term 1 2026 module.
- All players need to wear sneakers or touch shoes. No bare feet. No metal sprigs.
- Players will wear Hautapu Sports Club shirts and black shorts (the club will provide shirts for the season).
- First-round games start at 4 pm and are played half-hourly after.
- Games will comprise of 2 x 12 minutes halves with a 2-minute half time.
- Year 3/4 games will be played first, then Year 5/6 followed by Year 7/8.
- Referees will be provided for all games.
