Trophies on the line as rugby teams and supporters get behind Hautapu Sports' Club Day
Hautapu Sports' Premier side will play Te Awamutu Sports for two trophies when they meet at Memorial Park on this year's Club Day.
Hautapu will defend Te Awamutu's challenge for the Power Farming-sponsored George Simpkin, named in memory of the former Waikato NPC coach, and the match will decide who takes home the Waipa Cup.
Club Day sees junior rugby sides kicking off in the morning, with BBQs running all day and the clubrooms catering for all supporters.
The other senior game of the day will be the Women's Premier side's match against Hamilton Old Boys Huskiez, which kicks off at 1pm.
The Development squad and U-21 fixtures will not go ahead as their opponents have both defaulted.
The Premier B side were to have played Te Awamutu Sports, while the U-21 Colts had been scheduled to face a combined Melville/University/Te Rapa team.
