Round-up of results from weekend's senior Waikato hockey competitions

Hautapu Sports' two senior women's teams fared well in the second round of the Waikato Hockey Association competitions.

On Saturday, the Gray Matter Hautapu side played their first game in the Premier Reserve grade, after being upgraded from Women's Division One.

Emily Cameron's goal helped the Hautapu side to a meritable 1-1 draw against Fraser Tech who won the grade in the opening round.

On Sunday, the mothers in the Waipa Civil Hautapu side, in particular, enjoyed a 2-1 victory. to celebrate their Mother's Day battle-of-the-bridge contest with Leamington Phoenix.

In the men's Division One, Woodcom lost an entertaining game 5-1 to Varsity, while Te Miro Hautapu lost 6-0 to Suburbs Junior Development in men's Division Three.
