ROUND-UP: Premier A side edge closer to top of competition ladder

A win against fourth-placed Fraser Tech has moved Hautapu Sports to within a point of top spot in Waikato Rugby’s Premier A competition.

After 11 rounds, Hautapu are in second place, a point behind leaders Hamilton Marist and 15 points clear of University.

Hautapu beat Fraser Tech 36-29 in Round 10.

Earlier, the Development squad were beaten 23-16 by Fraser Tech to hold fifth place on the Premier B ladder.

The U-21 team had a bye and are third in their competition.

The Women’s Premiership team were beaten 37-17 by Otorohanga in a Matariki Friday match at Memorial Park.
