Hautapu Sports have retained the Power Farming-sponsored George Simpkin Shield with a big win against Waipa neighbours Te Awamutu.
Hautapu defended the first challenge for the shield, beating Te Awamutu 62-19 at Memorial Park in a 10-try performance.
Earlier, the Development squad beat Te Awamutu 68-14, with Todd Silva leading the way with a hat-trick of touchdowns.
The U-21 team beat Hinuera 29-17 at Welleans Park, Matamata. They have a bye next weekend.
The Women’s Premiership team had a tough game against unbeaten competition leaders HOB Huskiez, losing 53-0.
