Hautapu Sports Club’s senior teams are back in action this weekend, with a rugby trophy on the line and a chance to enjoy hockey’s Club Day.
Rugby, netball and hockey teams will represent the club over the weekend of June 14-15, and on Monday June 16, 2025.
The club will host the Waipa Derby when Te Awamutu’s Prem A and Prem B rugby teams come to Memorial Park for Saturday’s matches.
The 2.45pm Premier A match will also be the first challenge that Hautapu will have to defend after winning the prestigious George Simkin Shield at Otorohanga last weekend.

Hautapu’s four senior hockey teams — two women’s and two men’s — will all play at one venue on Sunday, St Peter’s, Cambridge.
This give them the chance to host a Club Day with supporters having the chance to cheer on all four teams, starting at 9am and till the final whistle of the fourth match in mid-afternoon.
Supporters are welcome at any part of the day and for as long as they want — it’s a great opportunity to see Hautapu teams in action in only their second season of competition.
Five Hautapu teams will be in action at the Cambridge Netball Centre on Saturday, while the club’s Premier netball team play at St Peter’s Cambridge on Monday evening.
